My Home gym wouldn’t even show up when making an account despite putting in its specific address and they couldn’t even process my barcode with m spitting a separate preferred gym despite me being able to go to any gym i want due to my membership allowing me such

Service for customers?

This app is absolutely horrible, from classes sign up to simple account information. Emailing for help is pointless. You are just directed to drive to your local gym or call during business hours only. But hey.. you can scan in with your phone!

Class registration

Huge bug when trying to regulatory for classes it simply doesn’t show anything available at all. Interface super outdated. They should really invest in a better platform… I mean planet fitness’ app does better than this… come on people.

Disappointed

For such a popular and great gym I was disappointed by the app experience. Nothing works, all the words are cutoff and the system cannot find my account despite exhausting many different options. I really want to sign up for their classes but the app makes it impossible. If they wonder why the classes aren’t super popular it’s because it’s impossible to sign up. Sad to say this may be the worst app I’ve ever experienced.

Why does this exist?

Logging

The app allows you to enter the gym but doesnt automatically log your workout. That's a super basic feature guys come on! :)

Worst app ever

App stopped working a few years ago and despite periodic attempts to give it another chance I can’t get it working. Most frustrating app and I can’t believe Golds hasn’t fixed it after all this time.

Can’t log in

I got a new membership and they told me I could use the app so I can use the app to sign in when I come in… it won’t even let me do that is says my membership is not found. Really annoying:(

Suggestion

Please add a feature where you can see what days of the month you checked in, or something to track that. I know other gym apps have this feature and wish this one did 🙏

How does a gym this reputable have an app this bad?

The interface is terrible, it crashes constantly, and I have to log in like three different ways and times.

Terrible app

I’m an existing member and have tried to log in to this stupid app so many times and it never works. It appeared to have me logged in but there was nothing on the app. Just my name and “app support.” When I logged out and tried to log back in it didn’t accept any passwords or my bar code on my actual access card. Don’t waste your memory space on your phone.

Needs work

Pro: Simple and easy to navigate Cons: No option to filter out and only view “favorite” classes and their time & schedules No option to add registered classes to an iCal

Terrible

I can’t get it to work. Neither can Gold’s personnel. Now they don’t give out ID cards or tags so you have to have app for the barcode, but it’s junk.

Most useless app I have ever used

Can’t change the home location. Customer service won’t help and gym doesn’t know how to. Can’t even access classes on the app.

Useless

This app along with their website are completely useless. Don’t send me an email telling me my payment information needs to be updated, and then deny me the ability to actually update said information through the app and website. Feels VERY scammy. I love the gym, but this bologna with their application and website are complete amateur attempts at being useful.

I enquired about nature of group sessions, length, difficulty etc. The lady at the reception said, i had download this useless app to learn all that i can do. Outcome? All i may do here is sign up for membership. That definitely won’t happen. A way to lose customers!

Issues with Class Sign Ups

I was using this app to sign up for classes, but when replacing my phone I’ve had nothing but issues trying to do that. Despite having a gold’s account, I also was forced to sign up for a MyIClub account, and despite selecting “remember me” I have had to log in again EVERY time, where it just opens up a webpage in the app instead. Now I also have to accept terms and conditions every time I enroll which is the smallest checkbox that’s difficult to click. Awful UI/UX

DOESN’T LET ME LOG IN

I have messaged them before and absolutely no answer, I’m not able to log in and I’ve tried every possible way (deleting app and reinstalling, logging in with barcode and everything, tried signing up) nothing worked. So please help!

Lacks Features

You would think that with having the application and being a member for this gym, you would be able to determine when your next bill is for the membership. Go gym app has some benefits, but it lacks all the features to make you a lifelong Customer. The entire point of owning a smart phone and having access to high-speed Internet are the benefits to check simple things like this, but it does not

Stopped working so sad

The app keeps taking me to a prior gyms login so I cannot see my Golds Gym Classes

Look at your reviews, look at your UI. It’s really basic and you haven’t had an update in over three years. What is going on with Golds Gym? Apparently nobody’s watching the store and they’re just letting all the clubs and the website slide into oblivion.

Barcode doesn’t work

Can’t view classes

You are no longer able to view classes on the app which is what most people use the app for. The gym websites do not update their class’s so you can’t view it that way either. I really hope they fix it soon!

App does not work anymore

Can’t see class schedules. Constant asks to sign in and after signing in, can’t see much except your own profile. App has gotten progressively worse.

Doesn’t work at all

How sad it is that such a well known company has such terrible app. Don’t waste your time downloading it, it simply doesn’t work.

Hard to use

Trying to reserve for classes and it gives me error code 302 when asked to log onto myiclub. All os a sudden i was logged out but cant log back in. This app has been super annoying and hard for my mom to use. She is a senior and shes able to reserve on 24hr fitness but cant do golds gym due to do many glitches and errors.

This app is trash

Always crashing, hasn’t been updated in over two years. I wish I could just sign up for classes through the website instead of the app.

Nonfunctional and hasn’t been updated in years.

The app redirects to iClub login page at nearly every screen which is where you ACTUAL account information resides. Which would be kind of fine I GUESS except the app errors out every single time you try to log in via the app. I can log in on browser just fine except you cant book classes on browser, you NEED the app. Gym employees are unhelpful with getting access to booking via the app and it’s not their fault, they’re not the developers of this awful app, they just work at a gym. The app is in serious need of an update, but I doubt it’ll happen any time soon.

Please add new Gold Gym locations to the app

I cannot register my account on the Gold Gym app because it makes you choose a gym location and your barcode. I have a membership but my town, Milpitas, has not been added

Useless

I’m not even sure the benefits of this app. It kept giving me an error message when I tried to login. I tried to reset my password but never received the email to reset it. I think it might be useful if we want to book a group class but at our location the class is never full so no benefit to pre-book either.

Most confusing app ever

You can’t do anything on the app it always reroutes you to the website which is so annoying bc they have the worst website. I just want to pay my bill but always have a hard time

Needs to be updated

In this day and age, you’d think the top tier gym would have top tier app quality. Efficiency of app operation, my app closes down frequently so I cannot utilize the features well. Busy meter, although I can see this option on Google Maps, it would be nice to see if 1 of 3 locations near me is busier than the other on the app. My manage membership area has me viewing my account with Chuze Fitness instead of Golds. I mean, what the heck?

Full of bugs/crashes/errors

It gets to an error every single time that i tried to sign up for a group class! I dont see a point to try more. Its been long that iv been using just to see the schedule and every single tome that i try to sign up it goes to an error page and did not let me do it. Its the most horrible app ov ever used.

Terrible Experience

I cannot log in into the app. I can log in into the website but when I try the app it says that my email or password are invalid. I have tried resetting the password from the app but I don’t get the reset email.

Can’t read barcode. No support

The instructions given to link your barcode to the app do not work. There is no response from the support team. The app appears to be abandoned.

Screen frozen

I kept the screen open trying to type my home gym for about 5 minutes and nothing worked. I exited the app and refreshed but nothing was assisting the issue. Unfortunate situation that should get fixed asap!

The find a class and mobile class check in does not work. Shuts the app.

Get with the 21st century

Joined the gym. They said I could see classes on the app. Downloaded the app and created an account but now it won’t recognize me so I can’t choose my location and see classes. Really a bad experience.
